A former prosecutor in eastern Kentucky, Scott Blair, has pleaded guilty to honest services wire fraud.

Blair, who was accused of doing favors for criminal defendants in return for methamphetamine and sexual favors, admitted to taking official actions in exchange for these favors during his time as the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Perry County from August 2020 to March 2024.

Following his resignation and arrest in April, Blair faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.

Attorney General Russell Coleman and FBI Special Agent Michael E. Stansbury both highlighted the importance of integrity and trust in public officials, and emphasized the need to hold corrupt actors accountable to maintain public safety and faith in the criminal justice system.
