Riley Gaines, a prominent women’s sports activist, has expressed concerns about the potential consequences of a Kamala Harris presidency in 2024, warning that it would amplify the Biden administration’s efforts to promote transgender ideology.
Gaines pointed out that Harris was once voted the “most progressive senator,” which she believes would lead to an escalation of the current administration’s work on transgender issues, taking it to “the next level.” She argued that the original intent of Title IX, which protects students from sex-based discrimination, has been lost under the Biden-Harris leadership.
“The thought of four more years of the same administration, but on steroids, is frightening, not just for women, but for humanity,” Gaines said. “As a woman, it makes me fearful for my younger sister and my potential future daughter. That’s why I’ll be voting for President Trump – I care about my daughter’s future.”
When asked what she would like to see from a potential Trump administration, Gaines emphasized the need for “immediate executive action” to reverse the impacts of the Biden administration. She argued that the current administration has conflated sex with gender identity, effectively eliminating women’s opportunities for academic and athletic scholarships.
Gaines suggested that the Trump administration should prioritize restoring women’s sports, ensuring that it’s enforced at both the federal and state levels. She believes that campaigning on this issue could be an effective way to win over younger women, who tend to vote progressively.
Gaines also criticized ABC News for its handling of the recent presidential debate, joining a chorus of critics who found it “demoralizing.” She thought that Trump could have pressed harder on the issue of gender ideology, which is a topic that doesn’t poll well for the Democratic Party.
With the 2024 presidential elections just around the corner, Gaines plans to help the Republican Party win back the Senate. She’ll be visiting 17 college campuses to engage with students and remind them of the significant impact their votes can have on the election.
The Republican Party has made it clear that they intend to “keep men out of women’s sports” as part of their 2024 platform. Trump has also vowed to ban transgender surgeries, a topic that has come under increasing criticism in recent years.
While the Harris campaign has requested another debate, Trump has questioned the need for a second debate, claiming that Harris was “beaten badly” in the first one. However, several prominent Republicans have encouraged the idea of another debate, with Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley stating that any opportunity for Trump to lay out his vision is “something we’d be very interested in discussing.”
