Review of Logitech’s Aurora Collection: Heart and Cloud-Shaped Boxes

REVIEW OVERVIEW

Pros: A solid gaming collection that has a dreamy (literally, there’s a cloud palm rest) aesthetic without being cheap or plasticky. Easy to customize with Logitech’s G HUB app. Ergonomic and comfortable for long gaming or work sessions.

Cons: Not cheap to buy, let alone collect ’em all. Headset is a little snug if you have a big head, and needs the Lightspeed USB receiver for all its features.

Logitech’s Aurora Collection has been popping up everywhere lately, catching my eye with its distinct cloud-shaped palm rest and sleek all-white headphones. As a gamer, the aesthetic of this collection appeals to me, offering a refreshing departure from the typical all-black gaming accessories. The design strikes a balance between being visually appealing without feeling cheap or overly feminine.

I recently had the opportunity to try out three key components of the collection: the G705 gaming mouse, the G715 wireless mechanical keyboard, and the G735 wireless Bluetooth headset. Each item comes with additional features like a cloud rest for the keyboard and a carrying case for the headphones. While using these accessories for work and play, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my favorite item was the keyboard.

The G715 wireless mechanical keyboard reminded me of my childhood keyboard with its bulky form factor and dark gray buttons. It exudes a classic, old-school vibe, though it lacks some of the more fun features found in keyboards like the Logitech Pop. The G705 mouse is similarly familiar in design, but the light strip adds a playful touch. The overall look of the collection is classic yet modern, with the white backdrop and pastel lights giving it a fresh feel.

The G735 headphones stand out as the sleekest and least gamer-y of the Aurora line. They have a high-end look similar to Apple’s AirPods Max and are designed with smaller heads in mind. Despite having a larger head, I found them to be comfortable to wear for extended periods.

All the accessories in the Aurora collection are controlled by the Logitech G HUB, a computer app that allows for customization of lights, key commands, mouse sensitivity, and more. This app provides a wide range of options to personalize your gaming setup and connect multiple Logitech peripherals.
