Home of Trump witness ‘swatted’ on day of hush money trial testimony

In an email sent to a local newspaper on April 25, an individual using the name “Jamal” claimed to have committed violent acts at Pecker’s Connecticut home, prompting a police response. Swatting, a dangerous tactic of filing false reports to provoke a law enforcement response, has been used against other public figures like Reps. Brandon Williams and Marjorie Taylor Greene. This incident marks the first known swatting attempt against someone involved in Trump’s trial. During his testimony, Pecker, the former publisher of the National Enquirer, admitted to aiding Trump’s campaign by suppressing a story about Trump’s alleged affair with Stormy Daniels.
