Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) expressed strong criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a Thursday appearance on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” labeling him as “dangerous” and advocating for a severing of ties with his administration.

Omar emphasized the need for a significant policy shift, particularly in light of the ongoing conflict, and urged Vice President Kamala Harris to take a more proactive stance. She called on Harris to use her influence to persuade President Biden to take concrete steps to halt the supply of bombs contributing to the devastating situation.

Omar acknowledged the importance of winning the upcoming election, citing the detrimental impact of a potential Trump presidency on her community. However, she also stressed the need for the Harris campaign to demonstrate a genuine commitment to representing the concerns of American voters, who are overwhelmingly in favor of a ceasefire.

The congresswoman argued that the Harris campaign must make a compelling case to voters, outlining a clear plan to address the issues surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the actions of the Netanyahu administration. Omar reiterated her stance that Netanyahu’s behavior has been marked by arrogance and ignorance, and that it is essential to distance the US from his administration.
