Crackdown on ‘Misinformation’: Biden Administration’s Censorship Tactics Under Fire

0:00

The Biden administration and the media are cracking down on what they label as “misinformation” and “disinformation,” with the intention of censoring statements they deem harmful. They have even appointed a disinformation czar and hired “disinformation” reporters to support this agenda. However, what they call misinformation and disinformation is often true, verifiable information that they find politically inconvenient.

This was exemplified by President Biden’s old press secretary, Jen Psaki, who claimed it was misinformation that Biden checked his watch during a funeral for fallen soldiers, despite evidence proving otherwise.

The trend continues with the silencing of expert opinions that contradict the established narrative, such as Harvard epidemiologist Dr. Martin Kulldorff’s views differing from US public health authorities and the American left. When unflattering information from Hunter Biden’s laptop was made public, it was dismissed as misinformation to protect Joe Biden.

This effort to label opposing views and uncomfortable facts as outside the realm of free speech is a tactic to shield the administration from criticism. It is crucial for the news media to resist playing into this dishonest game and uphold the principles of free speech.
