Psychiatric evaluation documents from Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) reportedly reveal that Audrey Hale, the 28-year-old transgender individual who carried out a deadly shooting at a Nashville Christian school, had disturbing thoughts before the incident.
According to the documents, which were reviewed by a member of the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department on June 1, 2023, Hale had “thoughts of ‘shooting a bunch of people’.
The documents also revealed that Hale had “recent thoughts of going into a school and shooting a bunch of people”.
It is unclear when Hale was evaluated by VUMC, but records show that she left the care of her first psychologist in 2019 and began receiving treatment from other VUMC mental health professionals.
