President Joe Biden’s Travel Plans Put on Hold Amid COVID-19 Diagnosis

Following his announcement that he would not seek reelection and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democrat Party’s presidential nominee, President Joe Biden has reportedly canceled nearly ten upcoming trips. According to a White House source, Biden had planned to leave Delaware on Monday to visit California, Denver, Colorado, and Houston and Austin, Texas, but instead decided to remain in Rehoboth, Delaware, until Wednesday.

The source explained that things began to be canceled immediately after Biden’s announcement, suggesting that his decision to withdraw from the presidential race may have contributed to the sudden change in plans. Biden has been self-isolating in Rehoboth, Delaware, after being recently diagnosed with COVID-19.

Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Biden’s physician, released a letter on Monday stating that Biden had completed his tenth dose of PAXLOVID and that his symptoms had almost resolved completely. The letter also noted that Biden’s pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and temperature remained normal, and his lungs remained clear.

Despite his ongoing health issues, Biden’s physician assured that the President continued to perform all of his presidential duties.
