Poll: Democratic Convention Hurt Trump’s Image, But Failed to Boost Harris

A recent survey conducted by Boston University reveals that the Democratic National Convention had a negative impact on former President Donald Trump’s reputation among independent voters, but failed to boost Vice President Kamala Harris’s image.

The poll’s findings may shed light on why Harris did not experience a surge in popularity following the convention, despite widespread media praise. While the event’s message effectively highlighted Trump’s flaws, it did not successfully associate Harris with positive qualities.

According to a statement from Boston University, the results indicate that Democrats were successful in emphasizing Trump’s negative traits to voters, but the convention fell short in linking Harris to positive attributes. The online survey, which polled 1,005 American adults before and after the convention in Chicago, Illinois, had a credibility interval of 3.5%.
