Police in Florida report a rise in violent crimes committed by migrants

An increase in violent crimes committed by migrants has been reported in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Three recent cases have highlighted this issue, with suspects being arrested for various violent offenses.

The U.S. immigration system is struggling to keep up with the influx of migrants, according to a lawyer.

One suspect, Herber Amador Guerrero, a 26-year-old from Honduras, was arrested on charges of sexual abuse of a minor, domestic battery, and aggravated battery on a pregnant teenager.

Another suspect, Josefina Cardona-Cardona, a 43-year-old from Guatemala, was arrested for attempting to hire a hitman to kill witnesses in her teenage son’s criminal case.

The third suspect, Marvin Perez Lopez, a 20-year-old from Guatemala, was arrested for kidnapping a minor under 13 years of age and sexual assault.

These cases highlight the challenges faced by law enforcement due to a surge in illegal immigration.

Lawmakers are set to discuss bills to address the border crisis, including detaining migrants who assault law enforcement officers and assessing the impact of the migrant surge on border agents.

ICE has been contacted for comment on why Guerrero was not deported despite a previous deportation order, but has not responded yet.
