Two individuals are now in police custody for allegedly attacking a dollar store clerk with a hammer in Ohio. The incident took place at a Dollar General store in Canton, Ohio, where a woman wielding a hammer and a man were reported to be assaulting people inside the store. When police arrived on May 8, the suspects had already fled in a hatchback.

The clerk informed police that the female suspect had struck her multiple times with the hammer, causing injuries to her body and head. Another victim reported being hit multiple times in the back of the head by the male suspect. A third victim tried to intervene but was poured with beer and slapped across the face by the man.

A fourth victim managed to record the suspects fleeing the scene and capture their car’s license plate. The male suspect then attempted to hit the person with his car before being arrested by police in another area of town. The hammer believed to be the weapon used in the attack was found in the suspects’ car.

Payton Valentine, 21, and Mannon Valentine, 20, both residents of Canton, have been charged with one count of felonious assault and are currently held on a $75,000 bond.
