Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) criticized Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) for mocking her confrontation with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) during a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing.
In the past, I’ve described the U.S. House as The Jerry Springer Show.

Fetterman had compared the House of Representatives to the “Jerry Springer Show” in a tweet, prompting Ocasio-Cortez to accuse him of not understanding issues of racism and misogyny.
I understand you likely would not have stood up for your colleague and seem to be confused about racism and misogyny being a “both sides” issue.
But I stand up to bullies, instead of becoming one.
And to the women of Pennsylvania: I’d stand up for you too.
Enjoy your Friday. https://t.co/cInF4YXO2y

The clash between Ocasio-Cortez and Greene occurred during a House Oversight Hearing where Greene made inappropriate comments about a colleague’s appearance. Ocasio-Cortez intervened to defend her colleague and demanded an apology from Greene. The exchange escalated with personal jabs being thrown back and forth.
Despite the heated confrontation, Ocasio-Cortez remained composed throughout, calling for respect and decency in the House of Representatives. Greene eventually retracted her comments, but the tension between the two continued to linger.
