Nigel Farage Condemns Media’s ‘Narrative of Hatred’ Against Donald Trump After Assassination Attempt

Nigel Farage, a longtime ally of Donald Trump, has spoken out against the media’s coverage of the former US President after a failed assassination attempt on Saturday. Farage, who has been a vocal supporter of Trump, condemned the “narrative of hatred” that has been spread about the former President by mainstream media outlets.

In a statement, Farage wrote: “I hope the mainstream media are proud of themselves for spreading a narrative of hatred against my friend Donald Trump. Disgusting people.” The Brexit leader’s statement comes after multiple shots were seemingly heard during a political rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump was addressing supporters.

The former President could be seen grabbing his ear and ducking down as shots rang out, before being escorted off the stage by Secret Service agents. Trump was then filmed rising with his fist raised in the air as he was whisked away to a local medical facility.

The Trump campaign later issued a statement, saying that Trump is “fine” and thanking law enforcement and first responders for their quick action.
