New date set for Weinstein retrial after Labor Day

He is currently serving a sentence for a 2022 rape conviction in Los Angeles. The decision to retry Weinstein hinged on whether his accusers, Jessica Mann and Mimi Haley, would be willing to go through another trial. Weinstein, 72, attended the hearing despite recent health issues.
