Netflix’s latest project will focus on Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, following their successful roast of Tom Brady. The streaming service will team up with NFL Films and Skydance Sports to produce a 10-episode series on Jones, exploring the history of ‘America’s Team’ with never-before-seen footage and interviews with key figures.
The series will feature interviews with Jerry Jones, as well as former Cowboys players like Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, and Deion Sanders, along with coaches Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer. The documentary will also include insights from political and pop culture figures such as former President George W. Bush and Nike founder Phil Knight.
While Jones has not announced any retirement plans, there is speculation that the 81-year-old may soon step back from his daily duties or pass them on to his son, Cowboys Executive Vice President Stephen Jones. However, for now, Jones remains focused on returning the Cowboys to their former Super Bowl-winning glory.
As the Cowboys gear up for another season with high expectations, all eyes are on quarterback Dak Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy in what is considered a crucial year for the team.
