Netflix reportedly edited out the audience booing Kim Kardashian as she appeared on The Roast of Tom Brady, which aired on Sunday night. Variety reported that the edited version of the show on the streaming platform contains a disclaimer stating that it was edited from a previous livestream and the booing, as well as Kevin Hart’s attempt to calm the crowd, have been removed.
Those who watched the original livestream witnessed host Kevin Hart introducing Kim Kardashian, leading to boos from the audience. Kardashian had to endure a ten-second delay before delivering her first joke. Despite the initial reception, Kardashian managed to be a good sport throughout the roast, even joking about rumors of her past relationship with Tom Brady.
Comedienne Nikki Glaser, who also participated in the roast, shared that certain topics were deemed off-limits, such as referencing Brady’s children. However, jokes about other aspects of Brady’s life, like his high-profile breakup with Bridget Moynahan in 2006, were still fair game. Brady himself intervened during the show when a joke about Patriots CEO Robert Kraft made him uncomfortable.
In 2020, Florida prosecutors dropped charges against Robert Kraft for allegedly soliciting prostitution at a day spa. These developments were highlighted during the roast as comedians took playful jabs at Brady and other controversial figures.
