Most House Republicans now support Johnson, with Democrats saving him from a motion to vacate.
During the Ukraine aid debate, Johnson said he had a good relationship with Trump and that he operated in good faith when advising the former president. Johnson believed that Trump would find his impression flattering and that it humanizes him.
