Michael Moore on Biden’s Debate: ‘It Wasn’t About Gaps or Flubs, It Was About Something Being Wrong’

On CNN’s NewsNight, liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore reflected on the presidential debate, stating that viewers perceived something was amiss with President Joe Biden’s performance. Anchor Abby Phillip asked Moore if he still believed the debate was “the cruelest form of elder abuse” after Biden’s recent press conference.

Moore concurred, asserting that it was wrong to put Biden on the debate stage that night. “Imagine if it was your father, your grandfather, wherever. It was heartbreaking to watch a person freeze like that. It wasn’t about the gaps or flubs, it was about something being wrong. If you’ve seen the decline in your parents or grandparents, or if you’re 50 years old, you know what I’m talking about.”

Phillip inquired about the possibility that Biden had a cold and was not feeling well during the debate. Moore responded by saying that Americans don’t appreciate being told half-truths or lies, citing Trump’s tactics. “Don’t fib to us like that. We know what we saw, something’s wrong. Tell us what’s wrong. If anything’s wrong, there’s nothing wrong with asking that question.”
