Matthew Perry Death Investigation: Charlie Sheen’s Ex-Wife Questioned

0:00

According to sources, authorities believe that multiple people should be charged in connection with the death of Friends star Matthew Perry. Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, is currently being questioned by police.

Mueller, who has hired lawyers and has been cooperating with authorities, has not been arrested. She has reportedly been tight-lipped about the situation, citing her desire to keep her role in Perry’s death private.

An autopsy report released in December revealed that Perry’s cause of death was acute effects of ketamine, with drowning, coronary artery disease, and buprenorphine listed as contributing factors. Perry was found dead in his hot tub at his Los Angeles home in October.

The public has speculated that Perry may have taken illicit drugs, given his history of addiction and substance abuse. However, an initial toxicology test showed no evidence of fentanyl or meth in his system at the time of his death, which is consistent with Perry’s claim that he had been sober for two and a half years prior to his death.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office will ultimately decide whether to press charges in the case.
