Fox Business Network Host Larry Kudlow praised former President Donald Trump’s performance at a conference hosted by the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago, saying he “went into the lion’s den and came out a big winner.”
Kudlow noted that Trump was invited to the event, along with Vice President Kamala Harris, but Harris was a no-show. Trump used the opportunity to criticize the event organizers for starting 35 minutes late due to technical issues and for not having his opponent present as promised.
During the Q&A session, Trump was confronted by ABC reporter Rachel Scott, who he accused of being rude and hostile. Trump defended himself, highlighting his accomplishments for the black community, including low unemployment rates and the creation of opportunity zones.
Trump also took issue with the event’s organizers, saying they had invited him under false pretenses and had started the Q&A session in a hostile manner. “I think it is a disgrace,” he said.
Kudlow praised Trump’s performance, saying he had “gotten his swag back” and had effectively messaged his key points, including the Biden-Harris administration’s open border policy and inflation. Kudlow also commended Fox’s Harris Faulkner for bringing a sense of sanity to the questioning, but noted that Trump’s superb messaging was the key takeaway from the event.
