Kamala Harris’s Border Hypocrisy: A Desperate Attempt to Shift Blame

0:00

Former President Donald Trump took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday, accusing her of suddenly pretending to care about the border crisis after three and a half years of inaction. Trump made the comments during an interview with X owner Elon Musk, where he blasted Harris for her lack of action on the issue.

“You’ve had millions of people coming in every month, and now she’s trying to pretend like she’s going to do something,” Trump said. “She’s had three and a half years to fix it, and she hasn’t done anything.”

Trump also criticized President Biden and Harris for having “another five months” in office to address the crisis, but predicted they would not take action. “It’s all talk,” Trump said. “She’s incompetent, and he’s incompetent. I think she’s more incompetent than he is, and that’s saying something.”

Trump’s comments were in response to Harris’s recent statements on the border crisis, where she attempted to shift the blame to Trump for opposing a congressional bill that would have codified the Biden-Harris administration’s border policies into law. Harris claimed that Trump did not want to fix the problem, but Trump countered that Harris was one of the biggest perpetrators of the crisis.

As the Biden administration’s point person on the border, Harris has overseen a massive influx of illegal immigrants into the United States, with an estimated 10 million foreign nationals entering the country since January 2021. Harris’s past support for open border policies has also raised eyebrows, including her calls to abolish ICE and detention centers, provide amnesty to illegal aliens, and dismiss concerns about national security threats at the southern border.

She also previously compared ICE to the Ku Klux Klan during a 2018 Senate hearing.
