Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon emphasized the need for the United States and other democratic nations to impose severe sanctions on Iran during an appearance on Fox Business on Wednesday.
Danon stressed that Iran’s financial resources are fueling its proxy attacks on Israel from multiple fronts, including Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, and directly from Iran itself. He pointed to the recent barrage of 200 ballistic missiles launched against Israel as an example of the escalating threat.
“We will retaliate, and we will not wait for anyone else,” Danon warned, adding that the consequences for Iran will be severe. In a direct message to the Iranian ambassador, Danon stated, “You will pay a price for what you did.”
The ambassador emphasized that the attacks on Israel are not isolated incidents, but rather part of a broader assault on Western Civilization as a whole. Danon urged the United States and other democracies to join Israel in taking a strong stance against Iran by imposing crippling sanctions, which would limit the country’s ability to fund its proxy wars.
