Ireland’s Thousands Unite in Protest Against Immigration Policies

Thousands of protestors took to the streets of Dublin, Ireland on Monday, demanding changes to the government’s immigration policies. They marched through the streets waving Irish flags and chanting “Out, Out!” One woman at the protest expressed her concerns about protecting Ireland for future generations and preserving the country’s culture and traditions.

The protest comes as Ireland faces an influx of migrants from Britain, who are now being redirected to Ireland due to new legislation in the UK. Refugee camps have started to appear in Dublin, with asylum-seekers arriving at Ireland’s International Protection Office on a regular basis. The situation has led to tensions as the country struggles to accommodate the growing number of migrants.

Despite also housing 100,000 Ukrainian war refugees, Ireland is considering sending asylum-seekers back to the UK. The Irish Freedom Party President, Hermann Kelly, emphasized the need to prioritize housing for the Irish population.

The protest highlighted concerns about the impact of mass immigration on Ireland and called for urgent action to address the growing refugee crisis.
