Kidnapping, Rape, and Murder Charges for Accused Killer of Laken Riley

A grand jury in Athens, Georgia has indicted 26-year-old illegal alien Jose Antonio Ibarra on ten counts, including murder, kidnapping, and assault with intent to rape for the death of nursing student Laken Riley.

Riley was found brutally beaten to death on the University of Georgia campus in February. The indictment alleges that Ibarra kidnapped Riley while she was jogging, prevented her from making a 911 call, attempted to rape her, and ultimately strangled and beat her to death.

Ibarra was also indicted for peeping tom offenses related to another UGA student. Despite having a criminal history, Ibarra was rewarded parole and released into the US interior due to detention capacity issues at the U.S.-Mexico border. He later applied for and received a work permit before being charged with Riley’s murder.

Ibarra remains in jail without bail and will be arraigned at a later date. The case has sparked outrage over illegal immigration policies under President Joe Biden.
