Migrant arrests for illegal border crossings in the Tucson Sector of Arizona have increased once again, with approximately 7,600 migrants apprehended in the past week. Chief Patrol Agent John Modlin provided a weekly update, stating that this number is slightly higher than the previous week’s 7,500 arrests.

This rise in apprehensions comes after a decline in March, where the number dropped to around 6,600 from a peak of over 12,000 in February. Border Patrol agents in the Tucson Sector have arrested a total of more than 360,000 migrants since the start of Fiscal Year 24 in October 2023.

In contrast, the San Diego Sector has seen an increase in apprehensions, with approximately 25,000 migrants arrested in the first three weeks of April. So far this fiscal year, agents in the San Diego Sector have apprehended around 210,000 migrants.

Overall, Border Patrol agents encountered more than 1.1 million migrants from October to the end of April, with the Tucson Sector leading the efforts by arresting over 360,000 migrants. Bob Price, an associate editor and senior news contributor at Breitbart Texas, reported on these developments.
