A dramatic rescue unfolded in Ross Township, Pennsylvania, when a man fell 20 feet down a slope and suffered a hip injury. Fortunately, his loyal golden retriever was by his side and sprang into action to alert neighbors to the emergency.

According to local emergency personnel, the dog’s quick thinking and persistence were instrumental in getting help to its owner. The dog refused to leave the scene until the man was safely extracted and transported to a medical center.

The rescue effort involved a coordinated response from local police and fire departments, who worked together to stabilize the patient and set up a rope system to extract him from the slope. The patient was treated for pain and trauma before being transported to a local hospital.

The EMS team took to social media to express their gratitude to the responding agencies and to the heroic dog, who was rewarded with treats and a refreshing bowl of water on a hot day. Photos shared by the EMS team show the devoted dog waiting anxiously for its owner to be rescued, highlighting the strong bond between the pair.
