In a recent appearance on “CNN News Central,” Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), co-chair of the Harris-Walz campaign, defended Vice President Kamala Harris’ stance on fracking, stating that her position on the issue is no longer a point of contention. Garcia, who has known Harris for a long time, highlighted her commitment to protecting people and the environment, as well as her support for working families.

According to Garcia, Harris has consistently demonstrated her values as a climate leader and a champion of social justice. While acknowledging that people’s perspectives can evolve over time, Garcia emphasized that Harris has been clear and consistent in her views on fracking, which she has publicly supported as a means of energy production in the United States.

Garcia pointed out that Harris had explicitly stated her position on fracking during the 2020 election and even before that, leaving no room for ambiguity. He argued that this clarity has effectively put the issue to rest, and that Harris’ values and commitment to the environment and working families remain unwavering.
