Former Republican congressional candidate and ex-wrestler, Dan Rodimer, is facing charges for allegedly beating another man to death at a Halloween party in a Las Vegas hotel room. The victim, Christoper Tapp, died as a result of blunt force trauma to his head. Rodimer was indicted on a murder charge by a Clark County grand jury.
The incident occurred after Tapp allegedly offered Rodimer’s stepdaughter drugs during the Halloween party. Witnesses reported seeing Rodimer attack Tapp, leading to his death a few days later in the hospital. Despite initial suspicions of an overdose, Tapp’s death was ruled a homicide.
Investigators learned that Tapp had a history of legal issues and had been involved in altercations prior to his death. Several witnesses provided accounts of the events that led to Tapp’s fatal injuries, including threats made by Rodimer and physical violence against Tapp.
Rodimer’s wife, Sarah Rodimer, allegedly attempted to cover up the incident and instructed witnesses to not speak to law enforcement. Text messages between the couple revealed Sarah’s concerns about Dan’s actions and her role in the aftermath of the incident.
Despite his legal troubles, Tapp’s murder conviction from 1998 was vacated in 2019. Rodimer, who lost his bid for congress in both Nevada and Texas, is currently out on bail. He is scheduled to appear in court in May. Requests for comments from Odom, Sarah Rodimer, and Duffy have not been immediately answered.
