Elon Musk Donates to Trump’s Campaign Amid Biden Criticism

In a sudden turn of events, tech mogul Elon Musk has made a substantial contribution to America PAC, a political group working to reelect former President Donald Trump. The size of the donation remains undisclosed, but it will be publicly disclosed along with the group’s list of donors on July 17.

This development marks a significant shift for Musk, who initially stated after meeting with Trump and other wealthy donors in March that he would not contribute to any presidential candidate. However, his stance on President Joe Biden has taken a sharply critical turn in recent months.

Musk has been vocal about his disapproval of Biden’s immigration policies, which have led to a surge in illegal aliens entering the United States. He recently posted on X, “Dems won’t deport because every illegal is a highly likely vote at some point,” following the tragic death of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, who was killed by an illegal immigrant.

The news of Musk’s donation to the Trump campaign comes as the Biden campaign faces a significant fundraising setback. Future Forward, a pro-Biden super PAC, has announced it will withhold a staggering $90 million in donations if Biden remains the Democratic nominee. According to a leaked poll from a group linked to the super PAC, Biden’s favorability rating is worse than that of alternative Democratic candidates, including Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA), Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-Mich.), and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign has continued to rake in funds, securing $331 million during the second quarter. The campaign reported having $284.9 million in cash on hand at the end of the quarter, outpacing Biden’s campaign, which had $240 million.
