The familiar sound of new Democratic talking points being parroted by party faithful can be heard echoing through social media and mainstream news outlets.
Actress Mia Farrow recently posted a message that sounded eerily similar to a statement made by Democratic gubernatorial candidate Josh Shapiro on MSNBC’s Inside Show.
Farrow’s message read: “We have a great country. And it’s getting better all the time. We have the strongest economy in the world. We are producing more energy than any other country. Economically we are beating China big time. We have been recovering from the global recession faster than anywhere else. We have the greatest military in the world. More Americans are working than ever before. God bless America.”
Shapiro’s statement mirrored Farrow’s, noting: “I think Donald Trump’s got to quit whining, got to quit trying to divide us. I mean, consider this, Jen. We’re producing more energy than anyone before in this nation. We have the strongest economy in the world and we are beating China for the first time in decades. More people went to work this morning in America than any other time in our nation’s history.”
However, it remains unclear what Farrow and Shapiro meant by their claims of “beating China” given the country’s increased global influence and growing push to supplant the dollar as the global reserve currency. Under President Biden’s leadership, China has expanded its sphere of influence across Africa and South America, and is gaining momentum in its efforts to replace the dollar with the yuan.
