The rise of anti-Israel protests on college campuses across the country is being fueled by left-wing dark money networks, according to recent reports.
National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), a national organization with around 200 independent chapters, including at Columbia University, received a six-figure donation from a nonprofit funded by the George Soros network, as reported by Fox News.
NSJP orchestrates student activism on campuses, accuses Israel of genocide, and draws comparisons between Palestinians and black Americans during the Jim Crow era.
Protests and encampments have sprung up at universities such as UCLA, USC, and the University of Texas in Austin, where over 50 people were arrested. The University of Texas stated that most of those arrested were not affiliated with the university, indicating outside influence in the protests.
Police have arrested over 1,000 demonstrators at more than 25 U.S. campuses, with Columbia University and its anti-Israel encampments at the center. Jewish Voice for Peace, another Soros-backed group, has received substantial funding from Soros-linked groups since 2016.
The People’s Forum in New York, which received significant funding from Goldman Sachs, encouraged activists to recreate violent protests from previous years.
The ongoing demonstrations have disrupted classes, led to cancellations, and jeopardized graduation ceremonies at various universities. Columbia University has shifted to a hybrid model for the semester, while USC has canceled its primary graduation ceremony.
The escalation of campus protests has impacted academic life and raised concerns about outside influences shaping the narrative.
