Colin Jost Praises Biden as ‘Decent Man’ at WHCD, Drawing Mixed Reactions

0:00

The usual tradition of comedians roasting a sitting president at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was replaced this year with Colin Jost, who instead showered Joe Biden with praise. Although Jost did take some shots at Donald Trump during the event, he focused primarily on attacking Trump and ended with gushing compliments for Biden. Throughout his routine, Jost received lukewarm reactions from the audience, but it wasn’t until he praised Biden for his supposed decency that he won their full approval. However, Biden’s track record raises questions about his true character, including instances where he avoided consequences for a fatal hit-and-run crash and made divisive, inflammatory remarks about various groups of people. While Jost’s speech painted Biden in a positive light, the president’s controversial past actions and statements suggest a different narrative.
