Chick-fil-A Shooting Suspect Arrested, Charged with Double Murder in Irving

IRVING, Texas – The manhunt for the suspect accused of killing two people at a fast-food restaurant in Irving has come to an end with the arrest of Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, 37, early Thursday morning.

According to the Irving Police Department, Argueta was taken into custody in connection with the shooting, which was deemed targeted. He has been booked at the Irving City Jail and will await arraignment.

While authorities did not disclose the exact location of the shooting, local television footage showed screens being placed over windows at a Chick-fil-A restaurant, with multiple police cars surrounding the area and the parking lot blocked off.

Police are still working to uncover the circumstances surrounding the shooting, conducting interviews with potential witnesses to piece together the events leading up to the double murder.

The victims remain unidentified as the investigation continues.
