Authorities in Alhambra have reported the discovery of hundreds of pounds of methamphetamine in an Airbnb rental home.
According to a social media post made by the Alhambra Police Department on Sunday morning, cleaning crews at a residence on Ethel Avenue found the drugs hidden inside boxes. Following the discovery, officers confiscated approximately 235 pounds of methamphetamine.
Footage from a RING camera revealed suspects utilizing a Uhaul moving van to transport the illegal substances. Law enforcement officers observed the van returning to the property, only to abruptly turn back upon spotting the police presence.
The two suspects were apprehended by authorities and taken into custody on suspicion of drug trafficking, authorities indicated.
