After a whirlwind year that included a thrilling NCAA Women’s Final Four appearance and a WNBA playoff run, basketball sensation Caitlin Clark is set to trade in her sneakers for golf shoes. Clark has been invited to participate in the prestigious Annika tournament, a premier event founded by golf legend Annika Sorenstam.

The tournament, scheduled to take place from November 11 to 17, is more than just a golf competition – it’s a celebration of women’s sports and education. The LPGA describes The Annika as a “grant-giving initiative” that aims to amplify the achievements of girls and women in both sports and academia.

Clark expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity to participate in the Pro-Am event, citing her passion for golf and the chance to rub shoulders with LPGA players. “I’m thrilled to be part of the Women’s Leadership Summit and to tee off with Annika herself,” she said.

Sorenstam, a golf icon and pioneer for women’s sports, praised Clark’s impressive basketball career and her commitment to promoting women’s athletics. “Caitlin’s achievements on and off the court are truly outstanding,” Sorenstam said. “I’m looking forward to meeting her and having her join us at Pelican Golf Club in November for what promises to be an exciting celebration of women’s sports.”
