Bill to Deport Immigrants Who Attack Police Passes House with Democrats Opposing

The House passed a bill requiring the deportation of immigrants who attack police officers on Wednesday, but 148 Democrats voted against it. The bill, HR7343, was sponsored by Rep. Jeff Van Drew and aimed to highlight National Police Week. Van Drew stated that illegal aliens who attack law enforcement should not remain in the country and should be deported. The bill also creates a new category for migrant inadmissibility related to assault against officers.

The bill was introduced following an incident where illegal aliens attacked New York City police officers, and many were subsequently released by the George Soros-supported prosecutor. Van Drew criticized Democrats for supporting violent illegal immigrants instead of standing up for law enforcement. Majority Whip Tom Emmer also condemned House Democrats for prioritizing illegal immigrants over law enforcement officers, calling them the most anti-law enforcement party in history.
