President Joe Biden is being accused of playing politics with the lives of Americans held hostage by Hamas, according to Republican Senator Joni Ernst. She criticized the President for withholding support from Israel and accused him of making terrorists rejoice, instead of fear. Ernst, a combat veteran and chair of the Senate Republican Policy Committee, called out Biden for using American lives for political gain in an exclusive statement to Truth Voices.

Ernst’s statements come as Republican officials continue to condemn the Biden administration for withholding crucial ammunition from Israel in its fight against Hamas. The Republicans accuse Biden of pandering to a pro-Hamas mob to appease his base and for personal political gain. Ernst demanded answers from Biden on the ammunition being withheld from Israel and criticized him for breaking his supposed commitment to the Jewish State.

Former President Donald Trump also criticized Biden, accusing him of taking the side of terrorists and weakening Israel’s defense against Hamas. According to reports, the Biden administration is withholding 3,500 bombs from Israel, which is battling Hamas. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin confirmed that the US is withholding weapons from Israel over concerns about its actions in Rafah.

Biden has defended his decision to limit transfers of American weapons to Israel, citing moral opposition to Israel’s operations in Rafah. This move has been met with both criticism and support from different political figures, with Ilhan Omar celebrating Biden’s decision. Critics argue that withholding authorized weapons from Israel without evidence of human rights violations is unconstitutional.

Senator Ernst, a member of the Abraham Accords Caucus and Senate Armed Services Committee, along with other Senate Republicans, have called on Biden to provide specifics about his Palestinian refugee resettlement program, citing national security concerns. In the past, Ernst has criticized Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer for his stance on Israel, accusing him of playing into the hands of Hamas.
