Phil was born and raised in New York City before moving to Texas to attend Southern Methodist University. While at SMU, he covered the Mustangs’ men’s basketball and football teams for The Daily Campus and produced a weekly sports show for SMU-TV. Phil is an avid sports fan, and you can often find him attending a game on weekends.
