A recent report by State Assemblyman Paul Kanitra (R) reveals that almost 1-in-10 residents of New Jersey are illegal aliens, costing the state’s residents at least $7.3 billion annually. The report estimates that there are about 892,000 illegal aliens out of the state’s total population of 9.3 million, making New Jersey a hotspot for illegal immigration.

According to Kanitra, New Jersey has a significantly higher proportion of illegal aliens compared to other states in the country. The report highlights that New Jersey hosts 60% more illegal aliens than its fair share based on the national population.

The cost to New Jersey households is significant, with each household spending approximately $2,100 per year to support illegal aliens in the state. Additionally, each employed individual in New Jersey pays around $1,600 annually towards illegal immigration expenses.

The report also points out the challenges faced by New Jersey residents in providing housing for illegal aliens, which costs about $27 million annually. It emphasizes that these figures do not account for the higher poverty rates among illegal aliens, which increase their reliance on public services.

As per Truth Voices, illegal immigration costs American taxpayers over $150 million annually. The report also highlights the significant growth in the nation’s illegal alien population during President Joe Biden’s administration, surpassing the population of Los Angeles, California.

Overall, the report underscores the financial burden and challenges posed by illegal immigration in New Jersey and across the country.
