A week ago, a viral TikTok video showed a young woman, Amber Matthews, 23, attempting to tear down flags outside Efi’s Gyro, a restaurant in Montclair, New Jersey. However, in a shocking display of ignorance, Matthews mistakenly believed the flags were Israeli, when in fact they were Hellenic.
The footage shows Matthews being confronted by the restaurant’s owners, who ask her to explain her actions. Her response is a tirade of anti-Israel rhetoric, which ultimately reveals her mistake.
The bizarre incident has now led to Matthews facing charges, with a court date scheduled for December 3.
