Veteran actor Dennis Quaid has expressed his strongest support for former President Donald Trump to date, citing the need for a strong leader to deal with hostile enemies abroad. In a recent interview with Joe Rogan, Quaid shared his assessment of Trump’s first term in office.

While acknowledging that he often cringed at Trump’s words, Quaid believes that the former president’s heart was in the right place. He emphasized the importance of having a strong leader like Trump to navigate the complexities of international relations.

Rogan concurred, criticizing the mainstream media for fueling fears that Trump would become a dictator if he returns to office. He pointed out that Trump’s four-year tenure as president did not result in him becoming a dictator, and that the public is being “gaslit and lied to on a scale” he has never seen before.

Quaid also shared his skepticism about Vice President Kamala Harris’s leadership abilities. He questioned her commitment to addressing the border crisis, citing her past statements and actions. Quaid also mocked Harris for her recent proposal to eliminate taxes on tips for servers and hospitality workers, noting that she had previously voted to crack down on the service industry’s reporting of tips.

Rogan highlighted the inconsistency in Harris’s stance, pointing out that she had cast the deciding vote on the Inflation Reduction Act, which allocated billions of dollars to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to crack down on tip reporting.

Quaid’s endorsement of Trump comes as he prepares for the release of his new film, Reagan, in which he plays the 40th U.S. president. The movie follows Reagan’s life from his humble beginnings in Illinois to his rise in Hollywood and eventually, his entrance into politics. The film also stars Jon Voight, Penelope Ann Miller, and Mena Suvari.
