Marvin Perez Lopez, a 20-year-old illegal alien from Guatemala, has been arrested and charged with kidnapping a minor under 13 years old and sexual assault in Palm Beach County, Florida. The incident occurred when the mother of the victim found her daughter inside a van with Lopez, who also lived in the same apartment building. The victim’s mother initially did not report the incident due to concerns about her own immigration status.

When the police were informed, they interviewed the 11-year-old girl who stated that Lopez forced her into the van and sexually assaulted her. Despite her attempts to escape, Lopez restrained her and assaulted her. Lopez had crossed the U.S.-Mexico border in January and was released from Department of Homeland Security custody into the U.S. interior with a court date set for 2027. He is currently detained in Palm Beach County Jail without bail.
