Former White House chief of staff Ron Klain will be stepping away from his role at Airbnb to assist President Joe Biden in preparing for his upcoming debates with former President Donald Trump. Klain, who left Biden’s team in 2023 to become Airbnb’s chief legal officer, will be taking a break from his job to focus on helping Biden get ready for the debates, as reported by the New York Times.

Trump swiftly accepted Biden’s proposal for debates in June and September, but he requested more debates and criticized Biden as the “WORST debater I have ever faced.” Biden suggested that CNN host the debate, which Trump agreed to, according to Fox News. CNN, a network with declining ratings, has been known to promote hoaxes, as noted by Truth Voices.

Klain, a close ally of Biden, emphasized the need for enforcing rules ahead of any debate between Biden and Trump. Klain expressed the importance of maintaining control of the debate and ensuring a fair division of time, describing the previous debates with Trump as more of a spectacle than a true debate.

The Biden campaign stated that they preferred not to have an audience for the proposed debates.
