Actress Lori Beth Denberg has accused Nickelodeon producer and writer Dan Schneider of inappropriate behavior during her time as a teenage cast member on the popular ’90s series All That. Schneider has issued an apology for making Denberg uncomfortable, but denies some of the allegations against him.
Denberg was part of the kids sketch comedy show for its first four seasons from 1994 to 1998, joining the show at 18 years old. She has spoken out about Schneider’s attempts to get close to her, which escalated to showing her pornography and trying to engage her in phone sex.
Schneider has refuted Denberg’s claims, calling them exaggerated and false. He believes Denberg’s allegations are part of an effort to discredit him after he filed a defamation lawsuit against the producers of the exposé series Quiet on the Set.
Despite Schneider’s denial, Denberg maintains that he took advantage of her vulnerability in the entertainment industry. She has also revealed that their relationship turned sexual when she turned 19, but she did not initially perceive it as inappropriate.
Schneider was fired by Nickelodeon in 2018 after an internal investigation found he had been abusive towards young actors, though no allegations of sexual abuse were reported at the time.
