Authorities believe they have located the boat involved in a tragic incident where 15-year-old Ella Adler was fatally struck off a South Florida beach. The boat operator fled the scene after the incident. The owner of the vessel is now cooperating with authorities.

Ella Adler, the granddaughter of U.S. Ambassador to Belgium Michael Adler, was water-skiing near Nixon Beach in Key Biscayne when the accident occurred. She fell into the water while being towed and was struck by another boat, resulting in her death.

Adler, a talented student at Ransom Everglades School and a member of the Miami City Ballet, was mourned by her school, dance team, and community. A funeral service was held in her honor at Temple Beth Sholom in Miami Beach.

A reward of up to $20,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in connection to the hit-and-run incident.
