Former President Donald Trump is making a push to win the state of Minnesota, according to a recent KSTP/Survey USA poll. Trump has been eyeing traditionally blue states like New York, New Jersey, Virginia, New Mexico, and Minnesota for an expansion of the electoral map ahead of the presidential election.
Trump’s efforts were on display at a rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, where he attracted around 100,000 supporters. He is also expected to headline the Minnesota Republican Party’s Lincoln Reagan dinner this Friday. The poll shows a close race in Minnesota, with Biden leading by just two percentage points, well within the margin of error.
Trump’s pollster John McLaughlin believes that both Virginia and Minnesota are up for grabs in the upcoming election. Trump has been vocal about his intentions to put a strong focus on winning Minnesota, a state he believes is winnable despite its history as a blue state.
