Biden’s “Garbage” Comment May Sway the 2024 Election

The Democratic Party’s chances of winning the 2024 election may have suffered a significant blow following a recent comment made by President Joe Biden. The remark, in which he referred to former President Donald Trump as “garbage,” has sparked widespread outrage and has even led to Vice President Kamala Harris distancing herself from her boss.

According to left-wing pollster Frank Luntz, Biden’s comment could be the final nail in the coffin for Harris’s presidential aspirations. Luntz predicts that the remark will have a profound impact on the election, potentially swinging the votes of undecided voters in Trump’s favor.

“It’s huge because this is not some casual insult made by a comedian at a rally,” Luntz explained. “This is the President of the United States, endorsing his vice president and making a disparaging comment about a presidential candidate. It’s simply not acceptable.”

Recent polling data suggests that Biden’s comment may have come at a particularly bad time for Harris. A Gallup survey found that 50 percent of Americans view Trump more favorably than 48 percent who do not. In contrast, only 30 percent of respondents have a favorable opinion of Harris, while 34 percent hold a highly negative view of the vice president.

Luntz believes that Biden’s comment will drive Trump turnout and could be the turning point that secures Trump’s victory. “I’ve seen Trump capitalize on similar moments in the past, such as the ‘basket of deplorables’ comment in 2016,” he noted. “I expect to see ads referencing this comment soon, and it may be enough to persuade the remaining undecided voters.”

Many of Trump’s supporters are motivated by a sense of distrust and disillusionment with the Democratic Party. A recent focus group of 15 men who previously voted Democratic, but are now backing Trump, cited a range of grievances, including the party’s failure to live up to its promises and its tendency to demonize those with different viewpoints.

“We feel like the Democratic Party has lied to us,” said one California man. “They promised us one thing, but delivered another. We don’t know where Kamala Harris stands on the key issues, and that’s a major concern for us.”

Another former Democrat criticized the party for its dishonesty and refusal to listen to the American people. “The Democratic Party is guilty of everything they’re accusing Republicans of,” he said. “It’s hypocrisy at its worst.”
