Court Denies Donald Trump’s Gag Order Appeal

0:00

A New York appeals court has upheld the gag order on former President Donald Trump during his criminal trial in Manhattan. The order prohibits Trump from making public comments about witnesses, court staff, and prospective jurors with the intent to interfere with the proceedings. The court cited concerns about the fair administration of justice and the safety of those involved in the case. Judge Juan Merchan previously fined Trump for violating the gag order and threatened jail time for further infractions. The case can be found at the Supreme Court of the State of New York Appellate Division, First Judicial Department. Trump can appeal the ruling to the New York Court of Appeals.
