Donald Trump rolled out two new tax policy initiatives at his highly-anticipated rally in New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden on Sunday. The proposals, aimed at supporting family caregivers and American manufacturers, were met with thunderous applause from the packed crowd.

Trump’s first proposal, a tax credit for family members who care for an ill parent or loved one, was met with particular enthusiasm. “I’m announcing a new policy today that I will support a tax credit for family caregivers who take care of a parent or a loved one,” Trump declared, his words sparking a wave of cheers. “They add so much to our country and are never spoken of, but they’re going to be spoken of now.”

The second proposal, to make auto loan interest tax deductible on American-made cars, also received a warm reception from the crowd. “I’ll also make interest on car loans fully tax deductible, but only for cars made in America,” Trump said, drawing another round of boisterous cheers.

Trump’s tax policy agenda, which has been a central focus of his campaign, includes a range of initiatives aimed at supporting workers, small businesses, and American manufacturers. In addition to his proposals on family caregiving and American-made cars, Trump has pledged to end taxes on tips and overtime, halt taxes on social security benefits for seniors, and “massively cut taxes for workers and small businesses.”
