At a recent rally in Las Vegas, Nevada, former President Donald Trump claimed that his campaign is gaining significant ground in key battleground states, prompting him to expand his electoral focus. According to Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris is experiencing a downward trend in her popularity, surpassing even the decline seen by President Joe Biden during his re-election campaign.

Trump’s comments, which drew thunderous applause from the audience, suggested that Harris is struggling to maintain her position on the ticket. “We’re leading by so much,” he stated, without providing specific details. Trump cited Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin as states where his campaign is gaining momentum, stating that they have been traditionally out of reach for years.

Trump also hinted at a possible expansion into “big states” that were previously seen as unwinnable, although he declined to specify which ones. He noted that voters in these states have a negative perception of Harris, perceiving her as “grossly incompetent.” Trump emphasized that his campaign cannot afford to have Harris as president for another four years, suggesting that it would be a repeat of the past.

In a separate statement, Trump highlighted his plans to challenge Harris in several states that have been historically Democratic strongholds. He mentioned New York, New Jersey, Virginia, New Mexico, and Minnesota as potential battlegrounds, stating that he is considering making a “heavy play” for these states in the upcoming election.

Trump’s comments suggest that his campaign is confident in its ability to expand its reach and challenge Harris in key states. However, he also acknowledged the potential risks of revealing his campaign’s internal polls, stating that it could lead to complacency among his supporters.
